NIU, School of Shipping and Logistics is a non-profit institution with its primary objective being to provide access to educational opportunities in various subject areas to students in India. Shipping and Logistics is considered to be a form of Engineering. Noida International University has formed the School of Shipping and Logistics distinctly because of the tremendous scope and involvement related to the courses. This School offers B.Sc. in Nautical Science, B.Tech in Marine Engineering, and MBA (Logistics). The syllabus is specially framed to give quality education, with special emphasis on fundamentals of maritime subjects and practical aspects of the profession.

Courses Available

Bachelor of Technology in Marine Engineering

The institute offers Bachelor of Technology in Marine Engineering. It is a 4 year degree programme.

Admission Criteria: Qualifications required are: (a)Pass in (10+2) or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English as separate subjects with a PCM average of not less than 60% Maximum Age should be: 20 Years or (b)Candidate can join 2nd year of 4-Year Marine Engineering Degree Course provided he/she has passed 1st year training from the Alternate Training Scheme, approved by D.G. Shipping Maximum Age should be: 22 Years or (c)Candidates can join 2nd year of 4-Year Marine Engineering Degree Course who have passed 1st year from the Engineering College in other streams like Mechanical or Electrical approved by AICTE with minimum 60% average marks. Maximum Age should be: 22 Years or (d)Candidates can join 2nd year of 4-Year Marine Engineering Degree Course who have passed 3 years Diploma Course in Mechanical / Marine / Electrical / Electrical and Electronics from the colleges approved by AICTE or State Board of Technical Education with minimum 55% of aggregate marks in the last year of Diploma Course. Maximum Age should be: 22 Years Applicable to all Options: The candidates should have obtained minimum of 50% marks in English language at 10th or 12th Std or in the Degree / Diploma course conducted by recognized Board or any University. Candidates have to submit a Medical Fitness Certificate at the time of counselling from a Doctor approved by the Director General of Shipping (DGS) as per the Merchant Shipping (Medical Examination Rules 2000).

Bachelor of Science (Nautical Science)

The institute offers Bachelor of Science in Nautical Science. It is a 3 year degree programme.

Admission Criteria: Minimum qualification required is 10+2 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English as separate subjects with a PCM average of not less than 60%. Maximum Age limit is 20 Years. Candidates should have obtained minimum of 50% marks in English language at 10th or 12th Std or in the Degree / Diploma course conducted by recognized Board or any University. Candidates are also required to submit a Medical Fitness Certificate at the time of counselling from a Doctor approved by the Director General of Shipping (DGS).

Master of Business Administration(Logistics)

The institute offers Master of Business Administration. It is a 2 year degree programme.

Admission Criteria: Minimum qualification required is graduation in any discipline with atleast 50% marks.
